    Love to see this tutorial and see all the comments from the other ladies that also enjoy these crafts, I absolutely love fabric crafts, including sewing and knitting. I want to get started with this new craft as soon as I get time. I will study this tutorial first though before I start a project because this seems to be really important to learn all the dos and don'ts.

    Thank you so much!! I'm new to the craft and and yesterday I was searching for a much larger punch needle and wondering how on Earth I could tell online what size I should be looking for. And just like magic, your video appeared in my suggestions today even though I didn't google the question!! I'm so happy to know what to be looking for now! I just adore this craft!! Thank you again!

    Thank you for your instructional videos, they are greatly appreciated! I was just wondering if you have considered offering a variety of finishing methods? This whip stitching method doesn’t seem to really add to the overall look of the coaster, without going back to look, perhaps it’s the colour? Also almost every video on RUclips shows people gluing one side, but it seems you don’t agree with this step? I ask in part because a wool door mat that I have had for several years and several pets now has some loops pulled through to the top, making it look messy. Now I’m trying to fix it, as my cats enjoy sliding into, or on it, so much! Also, might you have any tips or links to hand for cleaning a wool mat? Thanks again!

    I know NOTHING about needle punch. I cant figure out how the stitches remain on the other side. How can you walk on it without pulllng out the stitches. My sewing machine locks the stitches with the bobbin thread. In crochet the threads are actually knotting themselves. It seems like the first time my cat ran on it it would be destroyed. What is the white elastised cloth over the frame? What is its purpose? What is double (?) monkscloth?

    • @maxina1958
      @maxina1958 5 месяцев назад

      The frame has jagged teeth around the edge, to grip the cloth very tightly. The cover is to protect the user. The stitches do not fall out because they make the fabric very tight and taut, preventing the loops from falling out. As all the tails are on the front, they cannot be accidentally pulled from behind (where they would come out). I have just machine washed a rug I made from acrylic yarn, over 15 years ago, and I spun it on a 1600 spin. It came out almost dry and with just a few loose threads! These things are very sturdy 😊

    My daughter-in-law bought me a kit last Christmas but I never got around to finishing it off. This morning, your video popped into my feed. My mom used to tell me that the front and the back should look the same weather it is rug hooking, needle punch, embroidery. It seems you are echoing her sentiment!!! Now I can finish off my needle punch project!! My son reminded me that he used to help me as a very restless 5 year old!! Yes he did a hockey player rug hook which was never completely finished. Now I would like to give it to him to hang in his sons room but was wondering if and how to wash it after accumulation of some 30 years of dust!!! Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
